Herewith some of the new features changes from v11 to v17

• Tax Manager : To ensure correct tax reconciliations and tax reporting to SARS, it is essential that the Tax Period is closed. In Tax Manager you will setup your Tax reporting periods and process your transactions as usual. At the end of each tax period, you will print your report and close the Tax Period. Any transactions that are backdated to a closed period will automatically form part of the next Tax period.
• Customer Processing: A warning will display when using the same reference number per customer on All Updatable Customer Documents.
• Point of Sale: A facility for Pack Sizes has been added. The Pack Size facility allows the retailer to repack their stock into smaller or larger quantities for resale.
• Pastel Debtors Manager: Pastel Cash Manager has been renamed to Pastel Debtors Manager. New features added to Debtors Manager
• Automatic Updates: An automatic update feature has been included which will automatically update your Pastel Accounting. Before the update is downloaded, a history of changes made will be displayed.
• Conversion Assistant: The company will automatically be added to Pastel and you just need to open the company. The files will rebuild and you can continue processing.
• Supplier Payments via Sage Pay: With Supplier Payments, you can create a single payment batch for all your suppliers. Post this batch to Sage Pay and only transfer a single payment to Sage Pay. Sage Pay will distribute the individual payments on your behalf.
• Time and Date stamps on backups: When you back up your company, the backup will be date and time stamped to prevent you from overwriting previous backups and making restoring a specific backup easier.
• Hide Blocked Items on Zoom Screens: If you have blocked items, these items will not display on the zoom screens. This option can be disabled on the processing options for each user.
• Inventory Mark-up on cost: There is an option to mark-up your inventory selling price on cost or to mark-up your inventory selling price on gross profit.
• Mobile App: Mobile App option has been included to allow users to process quotations, sales orders & invoices from mobile devices. Search for customers & inventory. Once quotes & invoices have been processed, they can be emailed from the smart mobile device
• Password Security: All users require passwords to log into a company in Sage Pastel. Option for forgotten Password has been added.
• My Customers’ Zone: Post statement and customers can go through their statements electronically. They are able to drill down and view their invoices instantly
• Scheduled Invoicing:  Enhanced features used to be known as Recurring invoices
